Everest Bank e-Statement Password Format (2026)
Your 4-digit birth year, then your 2-digit birth month, then the last 3 digits of your account number, e.g. 198507157.
| Document | Password | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly e-statement (savings, current and overdraft accounts) | 4-digit birth year + 2-digit birth month + last 3 digits of the account number e.g. Born 1992/11/08, account ending 482: 199211482 | Confirmed by the issuer Source |
As of October 2026, Everest Bank says the e-statement password is your 4-digit birth year, your 2-digit birth month, and the last 3 digits of your account number, all together with no spaces. For example, Sita Shrestha (made-up), born 1992/11/08, with an account ending in 482, would type 199211482.
The password format
Everest Bank's e-statement page says savings, current and overdraft account holders can receive monthly statements by email in PDF format. The password is:
- Birth year, all four digits (for example
1985) - Birth month, two digits (for example
07for the 7th month) - The last three digits of your account number
The bank's own example: account 0080-0501-200157 with birth date 1985/07/25 in the system gives 198507157. The day of birth is not used.
Statements are sent once a month to the email address you registered with the bank. If they stop arriving, check with your branch that your email address is still current, and look in your spam or junk folder.
Worked example
Sita Shrestha (made-up):
- Birth date in the bank's system: 1992/11/08, so the year and month are
199211 - Account number: 0123-0456-789482, so the last three digits are
482
Password: 199211482.
Two more made-up examples:
- Born 2001/03/19, account ending 905:
200103905 - Born 1978/12/02, account ending 060:
197812060. Keep the zero at the start of 060.
If the password doesn't work
- Use the birth date in the bank's system. Everest Bank says the password uses the birth date held in the system. Nepal uses both the Bikram Sambat (BS) and Gregorian (AD) calendars. If one doesn't work, ask your branch which date and calendar are on your record.
- Two-digit month. July is
07, not7. - Last three digits only. Use just the final three digits of the account number the statement is for, ignoring dashes.
- Several accounts. Each statement uses the last three digits of its own account, so passwords differ between accounts.
- Joint or business accounts. The bank's page doesn't say whose birth date is used for joint accounts or what applies to companies. Check with your branch.
- Read the email the statement came with, or contact Everest Bank customer care.
Keeping the statement private
The password is built from your birth year and month and part of your account number. Family members or anyone who has seen your cheque book could work it out. Don't forward statements to shared inboxes. If you keep copies on your phone, store them somewhere only you can open.
Removing the password so you don't have to type it again
Once the statement opens, you can keep an unlocked copy so you are not typing the password every month. On iPhone, iPad or Mac, UnKey does this offline: you enter the password you already know, and it saves a copy without the password on your device. Nothing is uploaded. You can also do the same with Preview on a Mac or the "print to PDF" option in most PDF readers. Store the unlocked copy somewhere private, because anyone who gets hold of it can read it.
