Citibank UAE E-Statement Password Format (2026)
The e-statement password you chose in Citibank Online; if Citibank registered you, your mobile number (as in its example, without the leading 0) followed by your date of birth as DDMM.
| Document | Password | Status |
|---|---|---|
| E-statements where you registered yourself in Citibank Online (E-Statement Delivery Service) | The password you chose: 8 to 13 characters, alphanumeric, at least one capital letter e.g. Whatever you chose | Confirmed by the issuer Source |
| E-statements where Citibank registered you | Mobile number on record + date of birth as DDMM (Citibank's example drops the leading 0 of the mobile number) e.g. Mobile 055-9876543, born 4 June: 5598765430406 | Confirmed by the issuer Source |
As of October 2026, Citibank UAE says there are two possibilities. If you signed up for e-statements yourself in Citibank Online, the password is the one you chose. If Citibank registered you, it is your mobile number followed by your date of birth as day and month. For example, Rahul Menon (made-up), mobile 055-9876543, born 4 June, would type 5598765430406.
The password format
Citibank's e-statement page explains both cases:
- You registered yourself. If you chose the E-Statement Delivery Service in Citibank Online, you were asked to set your own password. It has to be 8 to 13 characters long, alphanumeric, and include at least one capital letter.
- Citibank registered you. Citibank generates a password from the mobile number and date of birth in its records. Its example: mobile 050-1234567, date of birth 17 December, password
5012345671712.
Breaking down Citibank's example:
501234567: the mobile number 050-1234567 without the leading 0 and without the dash1712: the date of birth as DDMM (17 December). The year is not used.
Reminder or delivery?
Citibank UAE has two e-statement options. The E-Statement Reminder Service is the default: you get an email saying your statement is ready, and you view it in Citibank Online with no PDF password. The E-Statement Delivery Service is optional and sends the statement itself to your email as a password-protected file. If you only get reminders, there is no password to find. Log in to Citibank Online instead. Statements arrive as often as paper ones would.
Worked example
Rahul Menon (made-up) was enrolled by the bank. His mobile number on record is 055-9876543 and his birthday is 4 June.
- Mobile number, following Citibank's example:
559876543 - Day and month:
0406
Password: 5598765430406.
If the password doesn't work
- Think back to registration. If you ever enrolled in e-statements in Citibank Online, you set your own password, and the mobile-plus-birthday formula won't work.
- Try the mobile number in other forms. Citibank's example drops the leading 0. If that fails, check the email for the exact instruction. The bank's record might use a different format, such as with the country code.
- Old mobile number. The password uses the number in Citibank's records when it was generated, which may be a number you no longer use.
- Day before month. The birthday is DDMM, so 4 June is
0406, not0604. - Reset it. Sign in to Citibank Online and go to Account Information > E-statement > See and Change Registration to set a new password.
- Call CitiPhone on +971 4 311 4000.
Removing the password so you don't have to type it again
Once the statement opens, you can keep an unlocked copy so you are not typing the password every month. On iPhone, iPad or Mac, UnKey does this offline: you enter the password you already know, and it saves a copy without the password on your device. Nothing is uploaded. You can also do the same with Preview on a Mac or the "print to PDF" option in most PDF readers. Store the unlocked copy somewhere private, because anyone who gets hold of it can read it.
