BDO Credit Card eSOA Password Format (2026)
Your date of birth in Mmmddyyyy format (three-letter month, two-digit day, four-digit year), e.g. Jan081985; statements before 15 June 2025 used ddMmmyyyy, e.g. 08Jan1985.
| Document | Password | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Credit card eSOA from 15 June 2025 | Date of birth as Mmmddyyyy (three-letter month with capital first letter, two-digit day, four-digit year) e.g. Born 14 September 1991: Sep141991 | Confirmed by the issuer Source |
| Credit card eSOA before 15 June 2025 | Date of birth as ddMmmyyyy (two-digit day, three-letter month, four-digit year) e.g. Born 14 September 1991: 14Sep1991 | Confirmed by the issuer Source |
As of October 2026, BDO says the default password for your credit card electronic Statement of Account (eSOA) is your date of birth written as Mmmddyyyy: three-letter month, two-digit day, four-digit year. For example, Maria Santos (made-up), born 14 September 1991, would type Sep141991. Statements sent before 15 June 2025 use the older order, 14Sep1991.
The password format
BDO's eSOA password advisory says that from 15 June 2025 the default password changed:
| Statements | Format | BDO's example |
|---|---|---|
| Before 15 June 2025 | ddMmmyyyy | 08Jan1985 |
| From 15 June 2025 | Mmmddyyyy | Jan081985 |
Both use the same pieces, just in a different order:
- Mmm: the month as three letters, first letter capital, the rest lowercase (Jan, Feb, Mar … Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec)
- dd: the day as two digits, so the 8th is
08 - yyyy: the full four-digit year
There are no spaces, dashes or slashes. The months are written Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov and Dec.
Worked example
Maria Santos (made-up) was born on 14 September 1991.
- Her July 2026 eSOA (new format):
Sep141991 - An eSOA from March 2025 that is still in her inbox (old format):
14Sep1991
Someone born on 3 May 1978 would use May031978 now and 03May1978 for older statements.
If the password doesn't work
- Check the statement date. If the eSOA is from before mid-June 2025, try the old day-first format. If it is newer, put the month first.
- Capitals matter. Only the first letter of the month is a capital.
SEP141991orsep141991won't match BDO's examples. - Use two digits for the day. Type
08, not8. - Use the birth date BDO has on file. If your date of birth was recorded wrongly when you applied, the password follows BDO's record. Call BDO to check.
- Much older statements. Before BDO switched to date-of-birth passwords, older eSOAs were commonly reported to use the last digits of the card number. BDO's current page doesn't cover this.
- Read the email that came with the eSOA. It usually repeats the password format.
- Contact BDO on (+632) 8888-0000 or [email protected]. BDO says never to share your password or card details. BDO staff won't ask for them by email.
Spotting a fake eSOA email
A real BDO eSOA email does not ask you to reply with your password, card number or one-time PIN, or to log in through a link to "verify" your account. If an email looks wrong, forward it to [email protected]. For scams, fraud or a lost or stolen card, call BDO on (02) 8888-0000.
Removing the password so you don't have to type it again
Once the statement opens, you can keep an unlocked copy so you are not typing the password every month. On iPhone, iPad or Mac, UnKey does this offline: you enter the password you already know, and it saves a copy without the password on your device. Nothing is uploaded. You can also do the same with Preview on a Mac or the "print to PDF" option in most PDF readers. Store the unlocked copy somewhere private, because anyone who gets hold of it can read it.
