As of October 2026, Security Bank says your downloaded credit card eSOA PDF opens with your date of birth in DDMMMYYYY format, with the month in capital letters. For example, Jose Reyes (made-up), born 7 February 1989, would type 07FEB1989. Corporate cards use the last 6 digits of the card number instead.
The password format
Security Bank sends a monthly text with a secure link to your electronic Statement of Account (eSOA). Its SMS eSOA page describes two different passwords, one for the link and one for the PDF:
| Step | All cards except corporate | Corporate cards |
|---|---|---|
| Opening the link (access page) | OTP + date of birth (DDMMMYYYY). Bank example: 12345605NOV1980 | OTP + last 6 digits of card. Bank example: 123456987654 |
| Opening the downloaded PDF | Date of birth (DDMMMYYYY). Bank example: 05NOV1980 | Last 6 digits of card. Bank example: 123456 |
The OTP is the one-time password you generate on the access page. It forms the first digits of the access password. Once you have downloaded the PDF, you don't need the OTP again. Only the date of birth (or card digits) opens the file.
Security Bank says the electronic statement is usually available 3 to 5 days after your statement date, so the SMS arrives a few days after your cut-off.
Worked example
Jose Reyes (made-up) has a personal Security Bank credit card and was born on 7 February 1989.
- He taps the link in the SMS and generates an OTP, say
482913. - On the access page he types
48291307FEB1989. - He taps Download e-SOA. To open the PDF he types
07FEB1989.
His employer's corporate card ends in 3355 7712, so its downloaded eSOA opens with 557712.
If the password doesn't work
- Capitals for the month. Security Bank's examples use
NOV, notNov. This is different from BDO, which usesNov. - Two-digit day. The 5th is
05. - Don't include the OTP in the PDF password. The OTP is only for the web access page.
- Limited OTP tries. The bank says you can generate up to 5 OTP requests, so type carefully.
- Expired link. SMS links expire 30 days after you receive them. If a link won't load, try clearing your browser cache, or ask the bank for a new copy.
- Use the Security Bank app. You can also view and download your credit card eSOA in the app.
- Call the bank on (02) 8887-9188 if your date of birth on record may be wrong.
Removing the password so you don't have to type it again
Once the statement opens, you can keep an unlocked copy so you are not typing the password every month. On iPhone, iPad or Mac, UnKey does this offline: you enter the password you already know, and it saves a copy without the password on your device. Nothing is uploaded. You can also do the same with Preview on a Mac or the "print to PDF" option in most PDF readers. Store the unlocked copy somewhere private, because anyone who gets hold of it can read it.
