As of October 2026, Axis Bank says its e-statement password is the first four letters of your name in capitals, followed by four digits of your date of birth. For Ravi Kumar, born 15 May 1990, that is RAVI1505. If that fails, the alternative is the same four letters followed by your 9-digit Customer ID.

The exact format is also stated in the email the statement arrived with.

The password format

Axis Bank's support answer "How do I open an estatement" gives two passwords:

  • Main password: four letters of your name in UPPER CASE, as it appears on your Account Statement (ignore spaces and periods), plus four digits of your date of birth.
  • Alternative password: the same four letters, plus the nine digits of your Customer ID.

Axis does not spell out the order of the four birth-date digits on that page. Day then month (DDMM) is the order commonly reported, so RAVI1505 rather than RAVI0515. That support answer is filed under the Cards section of Axis's help site, but it refers to the name as it appears on your account statement. Axis's statement-viewing page for emailed statement links describes the Customer ID version.

Worked example

Ravi Kumar, born 15 May 1990, Customer ID 912345678.

  1. First four letters of the name, capitals, spaces removed: RAVI
  2. Date of birth as DDMM: 1505, giving RAVI1505
  3. If that is rejected, use the Customer ID: RAVI912345678

For a name with initials, such as "K. S. Meena", ignore the periods and spaces: the letters are KSME.

Finding your Customer ID

Your Axis Customer ID is a 9-digit number. You can see it after logging in to Axis internet banking or the Axis Mobile app, and it is also printed on your account documents. If you cannot find it, contact Axis Bank.

If the password doesn't work

  • Capitals only. The letters must be in upper case.
  • Name as on the statement. Use the name exactly as Axis prints it on your account statement, which may include an initial or a surname first.
  • Short first names. If your first name has fewer than four letters, carry on into the next part of the name, with spaces removed.
  • Try both versions. Date of birth first, then Customer ID.
  • Current and business accounts. The date used may be the date of incorporation recorded by the bank; check the email.
  • Get a fresh copy. Axis's email statement request page (savings and agri accounts) sends a statement to your registered email after an OTP. Its e-statements page covers registering for monthly statements. You can also download statements in the Axis Mobile app or internet banking.
  • Credit card statements. See our Axis credit card statement guide for those.

Removing the password so you don't have to type it again

Once you know the password, you can save a copy of the Axis Bank statement without it, so it opens straight away next time or can be uploaded to a loan, visa or tax portal that rejects locked files. On iPhone, iPad or Mac you can do this with UnKey: open the PDF, enter the password once, and save an unlocked copy. It works offline, nothing is uploaded, and any password you choose to save stays in your device Keychain behind Face ID or Touch ID. UnKey only removes a password you already know; it does not guess or crack one. Other PDF tools, including the print-to-PDF option on most computers, can also save an unlocked copy.
