Airtel Payments Bank statements are reported to open with your date of birth in DDMMYYYY followed by your 10-digit registered mobile number.
| Document | Password | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Account statement | Date of birth (DDMMYYYY) + 10-digit registered mobile number e.g. Born 22 July 1988, mobile 9876543210: 220719889876543210 | Reported by 2 independent sources – not confirmed by the issuer Source |
As of October 2026, Airtel Payments Bank statement PDFs are reported to open with your date of birth in DDMMYYYY followed by your 10-digit registered mobile number, 18 digits with no spaces. If Rohan Yadav was born on 22 July 1988 and his mobile is 9876543210, the password would be 220719889876543210.
The password format
Airtel Payments Bank does not publish the PDF password rule on its website, so the formats on this page come from independent guides that agree with each other. Treat them as commonly reported, not officially confirmed. The email or message that delivered your statement states the exact format, and it is always the one to trust.
Easemoney and ScanPilot both give the date-then-mobile rule. One other guide (TaxFetch) says the mobile number alone; if the 18-digit version fails, try that.
Worked example
Rohan Yadav (made up), born 22 July 1988, registered mobile 9876543210:
- Date of birth:
22071988 - Mobile number:
9876543210 - Password:
220719889876543210
Eighteen digits is a lot to type on a phone. Type slowly, or write the string in a notes app first and paste it.
If the password doesn't work
- Date first. The date of birth comes before the mobile number.
- Leading zeros. Born 5 March 1990 is
05031990. - No +91. Use the 10-digit number only.
- Old number. Older statements may use the mobile number registered at the time.
- Airtel Axis credit card statements are issued by Axis Bank and follow Axis Bank's format, not this one.
- Read the message that delivered the statement, or contact Airtel Payments Bank support in the Airtel Thanks app.
Removing the password so you don't have to type it again
Once you know the password, you can keep a copy of your Airtel Payments Bank statement that opens without it, which also helps when a loan, visa or tax portal rejects locked files. On iPhone, iPad or Mac you can do this with UnKey: open the PDF, enter the password once and save an unlocked copy. It works offline, nothing is uploaded, and any password you choose to save stays in your device Keychain behind Face ID or Touch ID. UnKey only removes a password you already know; it cannot guess or crack one. On Android, the PDF opens with the password in Google Files, Google Drive or Adobe Acrobat, and printing it to PDF saves a copy without the password. On a computer, the print-to-PDF option in most browsers does the same.
