IDBI Bank Statement Password Format (2026)
IDBI account statements are commonly reported to open with your Customer ID; IDBI says its credit card email statements open with the first 4 letters of your name in capitals followed by your date of birth (DDMM).
| Document | Password | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Savings/current account e-statement | Customer ID (digits only) e.g. Customer ID 12345678: 12345678 | Commonly reported – not confirmed by the issuer Source |
| Credit card email statement | First 4 characters of name as on the card (capitals) + date of birth (DDMM) e.g. PRIYA SHARMA, born 9 February 1988: PRIY0902 | Confirmed by the issuer Source |
As of October 2026, IDBI Bank account statements are commonly reported to open with your Customer ID, typed as digits only. If Priya Sharma's Customer ID is 12345678, her statement password would be 12345678. IDBI credit card statements are different: IDBI says they open with the first 4 letters of your name in capitals plus your date of birth as DDMM, for example PRIY0902.
The password format
Savings and current account e-statements
IDBI Bank does not publish the account statement password on its website. Most guides report it as your Customer ID, the 8 to 11 digit number that identifies you as a customer (not your account number). A few sources mention date of birth instead. Because we could not confirm this on an IDBI page, treat the Customer ID as the likely format and check the email the statement arrived with, which normally states the rule.
Credit card email statements
IDBI's Euphoria credit card usage guide says: "Your password for email statements will be a combination of the first 4 characters of your name (in capitals) as it appears on your IDBI Bank Credit Card followed by date of birth in DDMM format." That guide is written for the Euphoria card; if you hold another IDBI card, check that the statement email gives the same rule.
| Document | Password | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account e-statement | Customer ID | Commonly reported, not confirmed by IDBI |
| Credit card email statement | First 4 letters of name (caps) + DDMM | IDBI card guide (confirmed) |
Worked example
Priya Sharma was born on 9 February 1988. Her Customer ID is 12345678 and her credit card shows the name PRIYA SHARMA. All details are made up.
- Account statement:
12345678 - Credit card statement: first 4 letters
PRIY+ day and month0902=PRIY0902
If her card said P SHARMA, the first four characters would come from that printed name, so check the card rather than guessing.
If the password doesn't work
- Read the email. The statement email is the best guide to the current format for your account.
- Customer ID vs account number. They are different numbers. Your Customer ID is shown in your passbook, welcome kit and net banking profile.
- Capitals matter for cards. The credit card password is case-sensitive:
PRIY0902works,priy0902does not. - Short names. If your name on the card has fewer than four letters before a space, follow the instruction in the statement email.
- DDMM only. The card format uses day and month, not the year, with leading zeros.
- Still stuck? Contact IDBI Bank customer care or your branch to confirm your Customer ID and date of birth on record. The bank's internet banking FAQ covers login and profile questions.
Removing the password so you don't have to type it again
Once you know the password, you can save a copy of the IDBI statement without it, so it opens straight away next time or can be uploaded to a loan, visa or tax portal that rejects locked files. On iPhone, iPad or Mac you can do this with UnKey: open the PDF, enter the password once, and save an unlocked copy. It works offline, nothing is uploaded, and any password you choose to save stays in your device Keychain behind Face ID or Touch ID. UnKey only removes a password you already know; it does not guess or crack one. Other PDF tools, including the print-to-PDF option on most computers, can also save an unlocked copy.
