IndusInd Credit Card Statement Password (2026)
Commonly reported as the first 4 letters of the name on your card followed by your date of birth as DDMM; IndusInd does not publish this for cards, so check the statement email.
| Document | Password | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Credit card e-statement | First 4 letters of the name on the card + date of birth DDMM (letter case varies by report) e.g. Anjali Verma, born 7 November 1993: ANJA0711 or anja0711 | Commonly reported – not confirmed by the issuer Source |
IndusInd Bank does not publish its credit card statement password on its website. As of October 2026, it is commonly reported to be the first four letters of the name on your card followed by your date of birth as DDMM. For Anjali Verma, born 7 November 1993, that would be ANJA0711 (some cardholders report lower case, anja0711). The exact rule is stated in the email your statement arrives with.
The password format
We could not find an IndusInd page that states the credit card statement password. Third-party guides and cardholder reports agree on the structure, name letters plus day and month of birth, but disagree on whether the letters are capitals or lower case.
For comparison, IndusInd's own account statement email uses the same structure for savings and current accounts: "first 4 characters of your name and your date of birth in the DDMM format", case-sensitive, with examples in capitals. That page is about bank accounts, not cards, so it supports but does not confirm the card format.
| Format | Example | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Name on card (4 letters) + DOB as DDMM | ANJA0711 / anja0711 | Commonly reported; not confirmed by IndusInd for cards |
Worked example
Anjali Verma was born on 7 November 1993 and her card shows ANJALI VERMA. Her details are made up.
- First four letters of the name on the card:
ANJA - Day and month of birth:
0711 - Try
ANJA0711first, thenanja0711
If the password doesn't work
- Read the statement email. It states the rule for your card, including whether letters are capitals.
- Try both cases, once each. Then stop guessing and check the email.
- Name as embossed. Use the name printed on the card. If it starts with an initial, the initial is usually part of the four characters.
- DDMM only. No year, and keep leading zeros: 7 November is
0711. - Bank account statement instead? IndusInd account statements also accept your 8-digit Customer ID as an alternative password, per the bank's statement email. That alternative is documented for accounts, not cards.
- Download it instead. Statements can be viewed in the IndusInd mobile app or internet banking, or contact customer care.
Keep the statement safe
Your IndusInd statement shows your spending, credit limit and part of your card number. A password made from your name and birthday is easy for people who know you to work out, so treat it as light protection. Never share your card PIN or OTP with anyone who calls or messages claiming to be the bank.
Removing the password so you don't have to type it again
Once the statement opens, you can save a copy without the password, so it opens straight away next time or can be uploaded to a loan, visa or tax portal that rejects locked files. On iPhone, iPad or Mac you can do this with UnKey: open the IndusInd PDF, enter the password once, and save an unlocked copy. It works offline, nothing is uploaded, and any password you choose to save stays in your device Keychain behind Face ID or Touch ID. UnKey only removes a password you already know; it does not guess or crack one. Other PDF tools, including the print-to-PDF option on most computers, can also save an unlocked copy.
