SBI Card Statement Password Format (2026)
Commonly reported as your date of birth (DDMMYYYY) followed by the last 4 digits of your SBI Card; SBI Card does not publish the format, so check the statement email.
| Document | Password | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Credit card e-statement | Date of birth DDMMYYYY + last 4 digits of the card number e.g. Anita Desai, born 15 May 1990, card ending 4321: 150519904321 | Commonly reported – not confirmed by the issuer Source |
| Credit card e-statement (older format reported by some guides) | First 4 letters of name in capitals + date of birth DDMM e.g. Anita Desai, born 15 May 1990: ANIT1505 | Commonly reported – not confirmed by the issuer Source |
SBI Card does not publish its statement password format on its website. As of October 2026, it is commonly reported to be your date of birth as DDMMYYYY followed by the last 4 digits of your card. For Anita Desai, born 15 May 1990, with a card ending 4321, that would be 150519904321. The exact rule is stated in the email the statement arrives with, so check that first.
The password format
SBI Card's statement and billing FAQ explains how e-statements are sent to your registered email and how to view them online, but it does not say what the PDF password is. So everything below comes from third-party guides and cardholder reports, not from SBI Card itself.
Two formats are reported:
| Format | Example | Status |
|---|---|---|
| DOB (DDMMYYYY) + last 4 card digits | 150519904321 | Most often reported for current statements; not confirmed by SBI Card |
| First 4 letters of name (caps) + DOB (DDMM) | ANIT1505 | Reported by some guides, possibly older; not confirmed by SBI Card |
Note that SBI Card (the credit card company) is separate from State Bank of India. SBI savings account statements use a different password.
Worked example
Anita Desai was born on 15 May 1990 and her SBI Card ends in 4321. Her details are made up.
- Date of birth as DDMMYYYY:
15051990 - Last four digits of the card:
4321 - Most commonly reported password:
150519904321 - If that fails, the other reported format:
ANIT+1505=ANIT1505
If the password doesn't work
- Read the statement email. Since SBI Card does not publish the rule online, the email is the most reliable place to find it.
- Full year, leading zeros. The DOB part is eight digits: 5 March 1990 is
05031990. - Right card. If you hold more than one SBI Card, or your card was replaced, use the last four digits of the card shown on that statement.
- Download it instead. Log in at sbicard.com or the SBI Card app to view and download statements. SBI Card's FAQ says statements for the latest 24 months are available there.
- Email not arriving? SBI Card suggests checking spam and junk folders if the e-statement has not arrived within 72 hours.
- Still stuck? Contact SBI Card customer care to confirm the date of birth on record.
Removing the password so you don't have to type it again
Once the statement opens, you can save a copy without the password, so it opens straight away next time or can be uploaded to a loan, visa or tax portal that rejects locked files. On iPhone, iPad or Mac you can do this with UnKey: open the SBI Card PDF, enter the password once, and save an unlocked copy. It works offline, nothing is uploaded, and any password you choose to save stays in your device Keychain behind Face ID or Touch ID. UnKey only removes a password you already know; it does not guess or crack one. Other PDF tools, including the print-to-PDF option on most computers, can also save an unlocked copy.
