Read in: English · বাংলা · ગુજરાતી · हिन्दी · ಕನ್ನಡ · മലയാളം · मराठी · தமிழ் · తెలుగు
Karur Vysya Bank statements are reported to open with your Customer ID; one guide reports Customer ID plus date of birth (DDMMYYYY).
| Document | Password | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Account e-statement | Customer ID, digits only e.g. Customer ID 881234567: 881234567 | Reported by 2 independent sources – not confirmed by the issuer Source |
As of October 2026, Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) statement PDFs are reported to open with your Customer ID, typed exactly with no spaces. If Senthil Kumar's Customer ID is 881234567, the password would be 881234567.
The password format
KVB does not publish the PDF password rule on its website, so the formats on this page come from independent guides that agree with each other. Treat them as commonly reported, not officially confirmed. The email or message that delivered your statement states the exact format, and it is always the one to trust.
Easemoney and ScanPilot both report the Customer ID. ScanPilot suggests two fallbacks: your date of birth in DDMMYYYY, then the last 4 digits of the account number plus DDMM. A third guide, TaxFetch, reports Customer ID followed by DDMMYYYY.
Worked example
Senthil Kumar (made up) has Customer ID 881234567, account ending 6789, and was born on 22 July 1988. In order:
881234567(Customer ID)22071988(date of birth)67892207(last 4 of account + DDMM)88123456722071988(Customer ID + DDMMYYYY)
If the password doesn't work
- Customer ID, not account number. They are different numbers.
- Find your Customer ID. It is on the first page of your passbook, in your welcome kit and in the KVB DLite app. Easemoney reports a missed-call service from your registered mobile that sends it by SMS.
- Download it instead. Statements viewed in KVB net banking or DLite may not need a password.
- Read the statement email, which states the format for that file, or ask your branch.
Removing the password so you don't have to type it again
Once you know the password, you can keep a copy of your KVB statement that opens without it, which also helps when a loan, visa or tax portal rejects locked files. On iPhone, iPad or Mac you can do this with UnKey: open the PDF, enter the password once and save an unlocked copy. It works offline, nothing is uploaded, and any password you choose to save stays in your device Keychain behind Face ID or Touch ID. UnKey only removes a password you already know; it cannot guess or crack one. On Android, the PDF opens with the password in Google Files, Google Drive or Adobe Acrobat, and printing it to PDF saves a copy without the password. On a computer, the print-to-PDF option in most browsers does the same.
